My Star Wars Pre-Order List

Now that I’m caught up on a lot of the existing stuff that’s out there that I wanted to add to my collection, I’m focusing back on picking up higher end collectibles that are on pre-order! Once they all roll in come back here for my reviews!

Gentle Giant: Last year I began my membership again as a Premium Guild Member – it’s really worth the price of signing up if you’re a fan of Gentle Giant’s work. You get access to exclusive merchandise offers, whenever they have exclusive show versions of busts you are able to order them, and you get special discount rates on their merchandise.

Han Bespin PGM Exclusive Mini Bust – If, at the height of his smuggling days, you told Han Solo that he would be a hero of the Rebellion, fall in love with an Alderaanian princess, and become a general in the Alliance, he would have had no shortage of smart remarks for you. But if anything is consistent in Solo’s life, it is unpredictability.

Though he may have narrowly escaped his captor Jabba the Hutt, don’t let him evade your collection. Offered here as a Premier Guild, collectors club exclusive. Han Solo will be a low numbered edition made available for a limited time only.

Sculpted using extensive photos pulled from the Lucasfilm archives and Based on scenes from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Han is outfitted in his blue Bespin jacket and seen extending a signature DL-44 heavy Blaster pistol.

Cast in durable materials and hand painted by a team of skilled artisans, Han Solo will be shipped to your door and packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity.

It’s a no brainer on why I pre-ordered this. The Han sculpt looks great!

Yoda with Brown Snake Kenner Jumbo Figure

Just like they were when you were a kid, only BIGGER! Gentle Giant is proud to bring you their new line of vintage Kenner inspired Star Wars Action Figure reproductions with the release of the classic Yoda figure. Digitally scanned from mint Kenner originals and reproduced to a substantial 6” tall, no detail has been overlooked. Injection molded and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure includes a faithfully reproduced orange snake accessory and comes fully articulated! With a commitment to keep in line with the vintage Kenner theme, Yoda comes packaged on a 1980 Empire Strikes Back-inspired blister card featuring original photos and art work, including a resealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition collectible.

The Yoda that I have on pre-order is a PGM version with the brown snake. I generally don’t collect these since their main purpose is to be kept in package. I’m a deboxer so that doesn’t overly appeal to me, but Yoda on the otherhand was another story. He was one of my favorite figures as a kid when I saw him come up I had to snatch him up. I figure if we see a Bespin Leia or Hoth Leia they’ll probably have to come home with me as well.

Jar Jar Binks with W. Wald – 2012 Holiday Deluxe Mini Bust Set

The Gentle Giant Holiday Bust has become quite a tradition. 2012 brings collectors of this rare line a special treat – a Deluxe Mini Bust 2-Pack! For the first time, Gentle Giant is offering collectors the chance to bring home Jar Jar Binks and W. Wald for the Holidays! The Jar Jar comes entangled in a string of holiday lights and wearing a Santa hat! Both of the holiday accessories are removable so you can proudly display Jar Jar year round! Also included in the pack is one of Warwick Davis’ many Star Wars characters, the Rodian W. Wald from The Phantom Menace.

Boasting uncanny screen-accuracy, these 1/6th scale renditions are cast in high quality polystone and come individually numbered with a matching certificate of authenticity. They make up a strictly limited edition collectible set , only from Gentle Giant LTD

Meesa so excited for these! Yay! Jar-Jar is being produced for the adult market! Poor Jar-Jar, he gets a lot of grief from adults. He wasn’t made for adults to enjoy but for kids. I’ve seen/read things where grown up kids were quite sad that Jar-Jar’s role got diminished as the film series continued.

Sebulba and Anakin 2-pack Mini Busts

Recapture the magic of one of the most exciting and adrenaline-triggering sequences in The Phantom Menace, the Boonta Eve Podrace, with the Sebulba & Young Anakin Mini Bust 2 Pack! Sebulba, the villainous and corrupt Dug podracer, believed that he was predestined to win the race with his usual methods of reckless racing and out-and-out cheating. Never did he expect to lose, much less to a child. Perhaps knowing that the young boy that won the race and destroyed his racing pod grew up to become the Dark Lord of the Sith takes a little sting out of the defeat? Then again, perhaps not…

These  digitally sculpted figures have been skillfully crafted by Gentle Giant’s top artisans and brought to life in high quality polystone. Each individually numbered and hand-painted pair comes with a matching numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

I’m so happy that they continued with more Phantom Menace figures. These 2 are lovely. I really enjoy 2 packs. I would love to see an Anakin Pod Racer or Naboo pilot bust on his own also.

Sideshow LTD: For the longest time Sideshow was only producing figures in armor – it was impossible to get a figure that wasn’t an army builder of some sort or Vader or Boba Fett. This year they actually announced a couple of non-Imperial style figures that I jumped on pre-ordering.

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the Tusken Raider Sixth Scale figure. Faithfully capturing this nomad of Tatooine with exacting attention to detail, the newest entry in Sideshow’s Star Wars Sixth Scale figure line is an outstanding addition to any collection.

The Tusken Raider Sixth Scale Figure features:

  • Fully Articulated Body with over 30 points of articulation
  • Tusken Raider Portrait
  • Slug Thrower Rifle
  • Gaffi Stick
  • Respirator
  • Synthetic Leather Pouches
  • Highly Detailed Bandoliers
  • Four (4) Sets of Gloved Hands
  • Highly Detailed Costume Includes: Inner and Outer sets of Desert Robes, Cloak, and Fabric Wraps on Feet and Forearms
  • Desert base stand cover
  • Lower support extendable figure stand with Star Wars logo
  • Sideshow Exclusive: Gaffi Weapon with Gun Stock.

My Tusken should be shipping this week! I’m so excited, this Tusken looks beautiful!

The Obi-Wan Kenobi: Jedi Padawan Sixth Scale Figure features:

  • Highly Detailed and Hand Painted Ewan McGregor Portrait
  • Lightsaber Hilt
  • Lightsaber with Ignited Blade
  • Switch out hand with Light Up Light Saber (Battery Operated / Included)
  • Three (3) Sets of Hands
  • Two (2) Pairs of Boots: Standard and Action
  • Detailed Belt with pouches, lightsaber clip and capsules
  • Costume includes shirt, tunic, pants and outer robes
  • Fully Articulated Prometheus 1.1 body
  • Sideshow Exclusive: Additional ‘Lightsaber Duel’ Portrait for Alternate Display

Interestingly enough I don’t have any Sideshow Obi-Wan figures. It’s not that I don’t like his character, I do, but I tend to get distracted if there’s an Anakin coming out at the same time. So this time Obi-Wan finally is getting my money. I’m thrilled – I picked up the Qui-Gon that Sideshow produced and just love him to pieces, I’m excited to add the youngest Obi-Wan to my collection.

Kotobukiya – Star Wars Jaina Solo Bishoujo Statue

Jaina Solo makes one cute bishoujo statue!
One of the most popular characters in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
Based on an illustration by master Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita!
Jaina’s display base incorporates the Rogue Squadron emblem.
Note the intricate details in her outfit!

It’s been a long time coming, but Kotobukiya’s lineup of bishoujo pieces expands with this Star Wars Jaina Solo Bishoujo Statue. One of the most popular characters in the Expanded Universe, Jaina has appeared in numerous novels and comic books that take place after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. She comes to you now in a fantastic bishoujo sculpture based on an illustration by master Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Standing 9-inches tall on a display base incorporating the Rogue Squadron emblem, this Jaina Solo sculpt features intricate outfit details like folds and straps, making this a terrific debut into the world of bishoujo statues!

Jaina Solo strikes a casual pose in her orange flight suit, the same outfit worn by Luke Skywalker in the Battle of Yavin. Of course, she puts her own spin on the uniform, wearing it stripped down to the waist to reveal her tank top. With her helmet in one hand, her flight vest and lightsaber in the other, Jaina makes one cute bishoujo (Japanese for “beautiful girl”) statue!

Size: 9-inches tall

Anytime there’s a non-sex-kitten version of any of the Star Wars ladies I’ll be first in line to pick one up. Love this! She reminds me of BSG’s Starbuck.
