Diamond Select has officially won me over with their ability to sculpt Harrison Ford’s face. After so many years of poor attempts by Hasbro and Sideshow’s 1/6th scale only being so-so, it’s nice seeing a company that nicely replicates his facial features.

Once again they nicley captured Harrison’s rather lopsided expressions. On Indy they gave him a liberal smattering of stubble, but you can still see his famous chin scar hidden under it. His eyes are nice and hazel and hair has a lot of movement while still being styled nicely.

His clothing is very nice w/ the greatest piece being his bomber jacket that even comes w/a  zipper. If I had one complaint it’s that his hat isn’t felt but plastic – I guess for playability purposes plastic was better, but it would’ve been nice if it had been leather. His shoes are also plastic but have some patina on them to give them some depth.

He comes w/ 2 sets of hands, his golden ROTLA idol, 2 whips – 1 curled up, 1 wide open, and a revolver. The open whip isn’t flexible or adjustable. Pulling it out of the packaging and putting it in his hand, the whip doesn’t have a natural flow to it being used, so I put it away. Indy’s revolver hand is awesome – the forefinger perfectly fits into the trigger area on his revolver.

Even though the hat and the extended whip were a little disappointing – overall the figure is lovely. Now if only I can find the map-room version of him somewhere…
