This Luke is lovely in that he’s an exception – for once we don’t have a Jedi Knight or Luke bust waving his lightsaber around (I know X-Wing Luke doesn’t either – I like him too 😉 ) I love lightsabers as much as the next person, however, there’s always a fear that they’re going to break, so it’s nice not always having them.

The painting on the Luke is subtle, if you look at him in low light he appears to be all black on his cloak, when in fact there’s nice shading of dark brown on it. From what you can see of his tunic, they nicely captured his vest. The robe and glove have nice wrinkles in them. Luke’s hair is long and brownish and his facial features look a lot like Mark Hamill.

The only real problem that I have with the bust is that the skintone is slightly off, it’s very pale and almost makes Luke look rather sickly. Maybe he’s just nervous about facing his Dad in person, I suppose I wouldn’t be all bright and cheery in that case either.

Overall – another nice bust from Gentle Giant.
