Applause released a whole line of 7″ plastic figurines to go along w/ the 20th anniversary of “A New Hope” and the theatrical release of the entire original trilogy in the theaters that year. This Leia figurine was one of them.

The figures are plastic and painted, with the exception being her helmet which is separate. The figures originally sold for around the $10 mark each which is still a pretty high price for them. The detailing is pretty simple on Leia although her hair and poncho have some nice ridging. It looks like the figures were originally cast in 2 parts that connected right across the center of her body. The line where these 2 pieces connect is completely obvious. Facial features are rather generic but not too bad of a resemblance. Figure does stand on her own, however, with some floor movement is prone to falling over.

Overall – figure is a nice height for filling in holes display between your 12″ figures and say mini-busts which are 4-5″. At least this figure was made using a costume that’s not made over and over again.
