Sideshow does a good job w/ sculpting Luke figures. They nicely got his 70’s shag down w/ the darker blond color. Facial features are a little on the bland side and not overly perfectly representing of Mark Hamill – but it still looks better than most of the Hasbro ANH figures. I don’t, however, understand why his eyes are green and brown and not blue.
Clothes are nicely detailed. I like the extra details of the stitching at the tops of the shoulders on the jacket. Blaster is nicely detailed and the medal is a nice replica of what we saw on film. The quality of the materials sets it apart from the Hasbro versions.
About the only thing that bugs me about the Sideshow bodies is that they make them so easy to pose that it’s easy to get the upper arms and thighs positioned the wrong way so you have to do a lot of manhandling to get them turned around inside their clothing to get them readjusted properly for display purposes.
Overall – nice figure unlike the Hasbro version that was on the mega butch body, this Luke at least looks more like slim Mark Hamill’s physique from the original trilogy films.
